How To Get What You Want From Women

Let me ask you a question.

What is "SUCCESS" to you when it comes to women?

If I asked you to give me a detailed explanation of EXACTLY how your life would be if you had ULTIMATE SUCCESS with women, could you do it?

Sure, most guys would say something like "Success to me would be being able to walk up to any woman and get a date with her"... or "Success to me would be dating as many women as I wanted"... or "Success to me would be having a really sexy girlfriend", etc.

These are the kinds of answers I hear when I ask guys this question.

But there's a PROBLEM with these answers.

NONE OF THEM REALLY MEAN ANYTHING.

If you learn how to approach any woman and get a date, you'll soon find that you don't know what to DO once you're actually out ON the dates... how to take things to a physical level, how to kiss her, etc...

If you start dating several women at a time, you'll quickly realize that it's a MAJOR challenge to juggle all of those relationships and maintain a happy life...

If you find a really sexy girlfriend, there's a good chance that she'll have a whole bunch of personal issues and problems that you never anticipated...

You have to be careful what you wish for in life, because you'll often get it.

I've found that guys usually make TWO major mistakes then it comes to SUCCESS with women:

1) Most guys haven't really thought through what success means to them in detail.

2) Most guys base their personal idea of success on what OTHERS want, and not what THEY want for themselves.

In fact, I was one of the guys that made BOTH of these mistakes.

I can remember when I first decided to ONCE AND FOR ALL learn how to be "successful" with women.

I had this idea in my mind that if I could just learn how to get women's phone numbers quickly and easily that I would be successful beyond my wildest dreams.

So I went to work on figuring it out.

I probably spent a good six or twelve months trying all kinds of different tricks to get women's phone numbers quickly.

And I figured out some great techniques.

I can literally get a woman's number within a few minutes of meeting her.

But once I learned this skill, I was hit with a MAJOR realization: Most of the women I was meeting never turned into DATES.

They either didn't return my calls, refused my requests, or just plain flaked out on me.

It was VERY frustrating.

The other problem I had was looking around at what OTHER guys were doing and saying "I want to be able to do what HE does..." or "I want to date the kinds of women HE dates".

And I secretly had this idea that if I knew how to date HOT women that all my friends would like me more and think I was a really cool guy.

Well guess what?

First of all, just because another guy is doing something doesn't mean that it would make ME happy.  In fact, I realized that in many cases it wasn't even making HIM happy.

I couldn't help comparing my success and the women I was dating with other guys, and the women they were dating.

But it was a trap.

The more a person looks at what OTHERS are doing and focusing on that, the less satisfied they are with what THEY are doing themselves.

And as far as other guys thinking I was "cool" because I was dating beautiful women... WRONG AGAIN.

Guys (even friends) usually envy you and resent the fact that you have success and they don't. Especially when it comes to really beautiful women.

So much for those losing strategies.

SO WHAT'S THE ANSWER?

Well, it's taken me a few years to really put all the puzzle pieces together and figure out how to resolve these issues.

Here's what I've come up with:

1) REALLY THINK ABOUT WHAT SUCCESS MEANS TO YOU IN DETAIL, AND WRITE IT DOWN.

Take the time (even if it takes days or weeks... or longer) and think through what you want for yourself.

Do a little "self examination" (no, not down there), and be honest with yourself.

See if you can figure out where your idea of what "success" is came from.

Did it come from watching movies?

Did it come from guys you know?

Where did you get your model of what "success with women" is?

Once you've figured out where some of your ideas came from, then think about what you want.

Think about your life and your lifestyle.

Instead of looking at Playboy and thinking to yourself "I'd sure like to have seven blonde girlfriends in my bed", try thinking about what would make you HAPPY on an ongoing basis.

Take some time to write down the things you like in a woman. Write down what you DON'T like.

Get a clear picture in your mind of how you'd like your life to be, and what kind of success with women would make your life more enjoyable.

After researching this topic for a few years now, I've come to the opinion that most guys (80%-90%) actually want to have a great long-term relationship with a fantastic woman.

Sure, some guys want to date around and sleep with a lot of women, but the majority of guys would really like to meet an exceptional woman and share a great connection... long term.

But guess what?

You're not going to walk outside after you're finished reading this and find that particular woman waiting on the corner for you.

In fact, you're probably not going to meet her anytime soon.

If you want to find a REALLY exceptional woman that is beautiful, intelligent, funny, emotionally stable, financially independent, loving, etc. then you're probably going to have to date QUITE A FEW women in order to FIND her.

And when you DO find her, you can bet your ass that she's IN DEMAND. She probably has MANY guys who are interested in her on an ongoing basis, and she KNOWS that she has options.

TRANSLATION: You'd better have your sh** together when you do meet her, and you'd better not be acting like an idiot.

So think through what success means, what you want, what you don't want, and how you'd like your life to look ideally when it comes to women and dating.

2) LEARN THE RARE SKILL OF MAKING WOMEN FEEL THE MAGICAL EMOTION CALLED ATTRACTION.

I have spent a long time now searching for the secrets of how ATTRACTION works.

You'd probably guess that something as IMPORTANT and as POWERFUL as ATTRACTION would be well-researched and widely written about.

Well guess what?

I can't find even ONE good book, audio tape series, seminar or website that describes it.

NOT EVEN ONE.

I've read all kinds of "opinions" on attraction, but when I really compare what I read and hear to my own personal knowledge and experience, I always shake my head and say to myself "No, that's not right".

And by the way, if you've found a book, tape, seminar, or website, etc. that lays it all out, let me know. I think I've reviewed just about everything out there and met a lot of the experts on the topic... but maybe I've missed something.

The point is that I think that success in this area of life basically ALL comes down to understanding ATTRACTION.

I'm not talking about being "physically attractive", I'm talking about the EMOTION of ATTRACTION.

If a woman feels ATTRACTION for a man, then nothing else matters.

His looks don't matter, his income doesn't matter, his age doesn't matter... nothing matters.

On the other hand, if a woman DOESN'T feel ATTRACTION for a man, then nothing else matters!

His looks, income, age, etc. just don't matter.

Nothing he can do can make her feel that emotion.

Sure, a woman can "fall for" a guy over time. But in these rare cases it's not because of ATTRACTION.  It's because she starts to feel an AFFECTION for him, and settles for a long-term relationship. Incidentally, this usually involves a man who pursues a woman, buys her gifts and dinners, behaves in a way that puts her value above his, etc. And, incidentally, it usually involves a woman who feels like she's SETTLING.

BUT, if you know how to make a woman feel that amazing and unique emotion called ATTRACTION, then you will be in control of your dating success... and YOU can decide on and control what happens to you.

A man who has his life together and actually understands how to make a woman feel ATTRACTION is FAR more rare than a beautiful woman.

Think about that.

An exceptional man who understands ATTRACTION is FAR more rare, valuable, and desirable than even the most BEAUTIFUL woman.

If you don't believe me, then ASK some beautiful women how many men like this they've known in their lifetimes.

They'll count them all on one hand.

You'll see.

And the best part, in my personal opinion, is that it doesn't take any unusual talents, physical attributes, or large sums of money to learn these skills.

All it takes is an understanding of how ATTRACTION works, a desire to learn it, and the discipline to learn, practice, and improve over time.

Much Better Than Buying Her Dinner

***QUESTION***

Hi David, love your newsletters, always remind me the great points I read in your book...

You recently wrote:

"If you buy a woman enough dinners, she may begin to feel some AFFECTION for you... but food and gifts will never lead to ATTRACTION. Big difference."

So what do we do after the first date of tea and stimulating conversation?  I figure that at some point, I would like to go to dinner with a new girl.  Should I just let them pay for theirs?  I did that last time, since we were just becoming friends, I wasn't that into the woman and didn't want to look like I was trying to impress her (since I wasn't trying to impress her), and she also has her own business and I could tell she wasn't struggling. Dinner has been my main date approach in the past, and I have become the Wuss in most cases!  I recently came up with a good line for a girl at the Farmers market who told me I should eat my greens... I told her she should come over and cook them for me!  She didn't know how to respond, but I think she liked it by her smile.  I'm gonna hit her up next time to be serious about that request, I think she can probably cook up some nice greens to go along with my nice Ahi Tuna dish...

>>>MY COMMENTS: I want to share an interesting story about a conversation I had this evening.

    I was talking with, of all people, my MOM about the topic of "men paying for things for women" and it was fascinating to me to hear her perspective.

    Without hesitation, she said that she believes that men should pay for everything, and if they really like a woman that they should SUPPORT her as well.

    Of course, I burst out with "YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!"

    After we shared a laugh, she said "No, I'm not kidding."

    And she wasn't kidding, either.

    My own mother believes that it's just part of being a "gentleman and good suitor" to pay for dinners, gifts, and even shelter for the woman he desires.

    I immediately replied with [paraphrased]:

    "This kind of sounds to me like you believe that men should pay women to give them attention, affection, and sex."

    At this point I think she remembered that I write books about this kind of thing and she gave up. But the thing that really got my attention was that she REALLY BELIEVES THAT MEN SHOULD PAY FOR EVERYTHING.  IN FACT, SHE BELIEVES IT AT THE "WELL OF COURSE! THAT'S JUST THE RIGHT THING TO DO" LEVEL!

    Heavy man, heavy.

    No wonder I was such a loser before with women.

    OK, I love my mom and mean no disrespect towards her...

    But let's talk about the real world for a second.

    Here are a few things that I believe about how things work in general when it comes to women and dating:

1) People in general, MALE OR FEMALE intuitively know when they are being "pursued". As soon as we know that we have something that someone else wants, the price starts to go up. Economics 101.

2) When the price starts going up (translation: she realizes that you really like her and she starts playing hard to get, making you "prove" yourself, etc.) you start to LOSE CONTROL RAPIDLY.

3) When you lose control, you have a couple of basic ways you can respond: A) Pursue her harder, giving her even MORE control OR B) Giving up. (Neither of these options sounds very good to me.)

4) An alternative is to NEVER START GIVING UP CONTROL IN THE FIRST PLACE.

5) One way to do that is to stay away from things that put a woman into the "courting" mode of thinking and behavior.

6) Asking a woman to dinner and then buying that is probably the absolute most certain way to put a woman in the state of mind that she is being "pursued" (with the possible exception of stalking her, which I strongly discourage).

    By the way, I'm not opposed to the idea of buying dinner for a woman. I'm opposed to the mindset that you put her into when you buy it. Make sense?

    Before I tell you what to do instead, let me share what I'm thinking when I first meet an attractive woman (I like unusually beautiful women personally, so this might reflect a bit of a bias):

    "She seems nice, but in my experience you never know what a person is like until you get to know them better. I'm willing to take the time to have a cup of tea with her to find out more."

    Get it?

    I'M GOING TO GIVE HER THE CHANCE TO PROVE TO ME THAT SHE'S MORE THAN JUST A PRETTY FACE.

    I never think EVEN FOR A SECOND that I need to buy her dinner so she'll sit and talk to me. No way.

    Incidentally, or not so incidentally, having an attitude that you need something other than yourself in order for a woman to like you is UNATTRACTIVE to women. They can smell this kind of attitude and lack of self worth. Bad, bad, bad.

    OK, so you get that I'm not real big on the idea of starting off paying for dinners and gifts.

    "What should you do instead?"

    I thought you'd never ask...

    Well, first off, if you ABSOLUTELY CAN'T HELP YOURSELF and you just HAVE to take a woman to dinner, at least frame it as "I want to go out to this favorite restaurant of mine, and if you'd like to go you're welcome to join me." Then if you decide to pay it can be something you were doing for yourself, and you were being POLITE by paying for hers. If you do this, make it clear that you're there because you want to go there, and it's not to court her!

    A much better idea is to be creative and avoid all of the things that scream "I'm willing to spend money to have your attention" (and therefore driving the price of that attention up).

    Why not a walk in the park? Going to an art show? Going window shopping in an interesting part of town? Taking her with you to run errands? Taking her to a party that friends are throwing?

    Here's a hint: DO SOMETHING THAT HAS INTERESTING CONVERSATION AND EXCITEMENT BUILT IN.

    Sitting at a dinner table ALONE with someone that YOU DON'T KNOW is hardly "interesting conversation built in" anyway. Think about it.

    Take a moment right now and think of 10 things you could do with a woman that cost little or no money, but have all kinds of interesting conversation, adventure, excitement BUILT RIGHT IN.

    Then, just do some of those things! Don't advertise the fact that you're not "taking her out to dinner", just DON'T DO IT.

    Hey, this is great... you get to have fun, not look like a wuss, not put her in "courting" mode, and have interesting conversation built right in.

    Added bonus: You save $$$. Nice.

    What I'm really trying to say here is don't set up the idea that you're paying for her attention.  Just don't do it.

    And as for the gal who you met in the market...

    I love the fact that you suggested she should come over and cook for you. Cocky and funny, very nice.

    When she got that shocked look and couldn't respond you might have said "Oh, I didn't mean to embarrass you... you can't cook, huh? Well, that's OK. It's nothing to be ashamed of..."

    These are the best moments to turn up the heat!

    After that, just simply move to the "It was nice talking to you but I have to get back to my shopping..." Then just after turning away say "Hey!... Do you have email?"

    "Yes."

    "Great [pull out pen]. Give it to me."

    Then follow up with this email:

"Hey, nice bumping into you at the market today. After carefully considering it, I've decided that I can live with the fact that you can't cook. I'll just have to adjust. I'm busy tomorrow, but maybe the next day we can get together for a cup of tea and I can teach you a thing or two about this cooking thing.  It's really not that hard, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it in no time..."

    By the way, I have no problem with the idea of having a woman cook for you. Just remember that if she does YOU NEED TO PLAY HARD TO GET!

    Wait a minute, you need to do that anyway...

Hi Obi’Wan De’Angelo,

I was one of, I'm guessing, the heaps of other guys that have trouble with the ladies that are giant procrastinators.

This was a major problem of mine, I’d think about what to do and what to say, only to find that I missed my opportunity in doing so.

Then a few weeks after reading “Double Your Dating” I thought bugger this what am I scared of a little girl who is smaller than me not being interested. What a way to live life. Worried so much about what somebody else might think or say.

I’m 19 and had never dated, so I set myself a goal of getting half a dozen dates by the end of the year. Now this may not seem like a lot, but to me it seemed almost impossible.

I started by phoning a girl that is in my course at uni who’s number I already had, and I arranged a study date. When I say ‘I’ she basically organized it, I think she was just waiting for me to show some initiative because she sounded almost ecstatic that I had phoned’.

And although I didn’t jump straight in the deep end asking a stranger for her number, that was only a step away. Now I have so many girls to choose from it’s almost confusing. Though I prefer being confused than lonely.

So Dave what I’m trying to say is you have improved my life tenfold. Not only am I having a great time seeing different girls, I’m also doing better at my studies because I no longer have in the back of my mind how pathetic I am. I also have made more friends through knowing so many more people. All I needed was that first little step and it soon snowballed, because as you know pretty girls know pretty girls, now it’s just a matter of finding one that meets my now prestigious standards.

Ah, the concept that is near and dear to all of us men who have started on the path to success with women and dating...

FEAR.
Fear of rejection.
Fear of embarrassment.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of what she might do if I start talking to her.
Fear of what other guys would think if they knew that we needed help with women.
Fear of what WOMEN would think if they knew that we needed help with women.
Fear of admitting that we're AFRAID.
...and about 100 others.

But what exactly IS fear?
And why is it such a problem?
And what can be done to overcome it?
Well, let's start with what fear is, then we'll move on to some techniques to get past it.

I once heard a great definition of FEAR:

False
Evidence
Appearing
Real

In other words, the things that you feel fear about are usually not real. It's usually just "false evidence".

You also might think back about the last 10 things you felt fear around. Now, ask yourself... Did any of those things come true?

In most of the cases, you'll find that the fear did NOT come true.

I heard once that something like 98% of the things that people fear and worry about never come true.

I've found this to be true in my own life, of course.

Fear is an emotion, or an emotional state. It's an amazing and wonderful emotion... because it can help save your life in certain situations.

A hundred thousand years ago, when we were running around in the desert, we needed powerful, motivating emotions like FEAR to save our lives.

When you feel fear (especially if it's a response to real physical danger) you'll notice that some AMAZING things happen. Your eyes open up wider so you can see better, adrenaline pumps into your body, your heart beats fast to deliver blood to your muscles, and all kinds of other wondrous processes are triggered.

The PROBLEM is when we experience fear at times when there IS NO real physical danger.

We humans are amazing. We can just IMAGINE things and feel fear in response to the mental images.

And I'm sure you know exactly what the problem is with this... it can IMMOBILIZE you at critical times.

Have you ever seen a woman that you'd like to meet, but you just couldn't walk over and start talking to her?

No, it's never happened to me, either.

What was the problem?

Usually, it's fear.

Fear that she'll get upset, or fear that she'll have a boyfriend... or fear that she'll embarrass you in front of others... or fear that you won't know what to say to her...

And, of course, when you feel that strong fear emotion, it just FREEZES you and makes you totally ineffective.

So what's the solution?

Well, there are several ways to overcome fears.

One way is to do the thing you fear. If you do the thing that you fear, and see that nothing bad will happen, then you eventually overcome it and become programmed not to feel fear anymore.

For instance, if you're afraid to approach women and talk to them, just DO IT. Go talk to 50 women in the next week and see that most of them will respond positively to you (if you don't act like a dumb-ass, that is).

Other ways include:

-Understanding the dynamics of male/female interactions better than most women do.
-Learning how to approach women using the same types of words and body language that the masters use.
-Learning how to use props or other devices to get a woman's attention without having to "approach" her directly.
-Learning mental techniques to overcome fears or "reset" your emotions instantly, anytime you'd like (this is one of my personal favorites).
-Using mental preparation to be completely ready for anything that might happen.
...and there are several others.

I have spent a lot of time in my own personal life learning about and figuring out how to get past fears and other psychological obstacles with women.

I teach several concepts and guided exercises specifically for overcoming fear, programming yourself for success, and programming your mind to succeed with women.

Sexual Body Language

I have some interesting news for you...

Attractive women know within SECONDS of seeing and/or interacting with you if you're a sexually aware, confident man. And they make the UNCONSCIOUS decision of whether or not you're a possible sexual partner within a maximum of a few minutes of interacting with you. These unconscious decisions are made mostly on the basis of body language and voice tone.

And since we know that "Attraction Isn't A Choice", we can generalize the following:

1. If you don't know what types of body language communicate that you're one of these "sexy beast" guys, you're probably not doing the right things "by accident".

2. The words you say actually don't matter much. What matters is HOW you say them, both with your voice and with your body language.

3. It is possible to learn how to communicate that you're a "sexually aware, confident man" using your body language and voice tone. Learning this skill will make attracting women MUCH easier. Unfortunately, most men are too caught up in the idea of being macho and independent to work on this area of their life... and as a result, they waste most of their time in "quiet desperation", never seeing any real improvement because they don't seek help and use the help to improve.

In short, if you don't know whether or not you project the kind of body language and voice tone that makes women feel that emotional jolt of sexual attraction, then you can bet your last dollar that you aren't. What's a guy to do? Learn it, then use it.

When I first started learning about how to meet women, I can remember thinking that I needed to learn pick up lines and other tricks. I had no idea that this stuff was basically useless without the all-important understanding of how body language works.

After a lot of trial and error, I started to realize that when my body language and voice tone were correct, I could say ALMOST ANYTHING to women, and they would feel ATTRACTION.

Like most guys, you probably want to know WHY this is, as well as how to do it. Well, if you want to REALLY get a deep understanding of this topic, I suggest that you check out my new CD Audio Program. I spend several hours working on the "why".

So in this newsletter, I'm going to focus on some of the "How To"...

Here are three things you can do to IMMEDIATELY increase your attractiveness to women:

1) Learn how to hold eye contact for longer than her.

If you see a woman that you find attractive, and she looks back at you, DON'T LOOK AWAY. Most guys become very self conscious and look away as soon as a woman notices them looking. This is a HUGE mistake.

If you want to communicate all the right things, you need to show IMMEDIATELY that you're not afraid, and that you're not at all self conscious about the fact that you are checking her out.

A good exercise is to walk through a mall for a few hours and look DIRECTLY at every woman you see. Walk into every store, and look directly into the eyes of every single woman you encounter... and DON'T LOOK AWAY UNTIL AFTER SHE DOES.

Do yourself a huge favor, and don't open your eyes really wide and smile like a serial killer while you're doing this exercise. Women don't tend to enjoy that.

Just learn how to hold eye contact with a woman until she looks away...

This is very important.

2) Use confident posture.

Most men I see hold themselves in a way that says "I am not very confident about myself or anything I'm saying".

And most of the guys I know who are chick MAGNETS hold themselves in a way that says "I'm the dominant male in this situation... I own this place".

Suck in your stomach, hold your head up and back, pull your shoulders back, arch your back... and generally hold yourself like you're the most powerful person you've ever seen or heard of.

Yea, I know this sounds dorky, but do it anyway.

You'll probably feel strange and self conscious at first, but not to worry.

If you continue to practice your confident posture, you'll soon become comfortable with it. And more important, you'll attract attention from women.

Remember, women aren't interested in finding another average Wuss Boy. Women aren't ATTRACTED to WUSSIES.

Carry yourself like a manly man, and attractive women will notice and have INSTANT positive unconscious reactions to you.

3) Use SLOW, CALCULATED movements and gestures.

Watch a few James Bond films. And while you're at it, check out "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".

Have you ever noticed that James Bond never looks like he doesn't know how to act? And that he never fidgets or behaves nervously?

Everything James does is a little slower than is should be. He's just too cool.

Try learning how to turn your head slowly, how to blink slowly, how to change facial expressions slowly... and how to gesture slowly.

This makes a huge impact on how others perceive you.

This kind of body language transmits the message: "I'm so comfortable in my own skin, it hurts".

4) Confident voice tone.

Most people speak with weak, squeaky voices that convey the message "I'm not confident... I have no self esteem".

This turns women off. Big time.

If you want to attract beautiful women, you're going to need to take a few lessons from Barry White.

Learn how to speak with a deeper voice. Learn to speak from down in your chest and stomach. Add more bass to your voice.

Also, learn how to speak slower... and how to articulate every word better. Become comfortable pausing... it creates anticipation. Most guys talk too much, too fast, and feel like they need to talk because they're nervous. Don't do it! Learn to lean back, relax, and become comfortable with the tension that comes from silence.

If you work on communicating with your BODY AND VOICE that you're a confident, sexually aware, stud-muffinly guy, then all the techniques you're learning from me will work TEN times better. Really.

Why Attraction Happens

Question

Dear David,

I have been receiving your emails for some time, and of course found your concepts to be intriguing. The purpose of this mail is not so much to share any success stories I may have had as a result of your techniques, but more to point out an insight that I recently had as to why it is that your "rules" actually work - from a perhaps pseudo scientific perspective.

To give u a little background, I have been twice divorced (because of a compulsive gambling problem...).

I am rather well known on the Johannesburg party scene (pretty hectic for those of you in the know) - even at the ripe old age of 42. I have found that the cocky and funny routine works exceptionally well and have struggled to understand it for a long time, as it goes against the grain of what we might commonly believe to be logical. What follows is a brief synopsis of why I think this may be the case.

In the course of my extramural activities as a Compulsive Gambling counsellor - OK!, I admit that I too can come up with the odd line such as "If you blow my mind I promise not to think in your mouth" - which achieves the desired results - I came across a gem.

For most people it is difficult to understand why something like gambling can become an addiction. And yet,
ATTRACTION is also...now that I perceive it this way ...also a form of addiction...and here is why.

The brain has a part of it responsible for the release of a powerful adrenaline called dopamine. This has a more powerful effect than any man made hallucinogenic. The release of dopamine is controlled by an area of the brain known as the anterior cingulate (AC). Recent studies on man, ape and other animals has shown that this part of the brain behaves in rather strange ways.

When the mind gets something that is unexpected (such as a win in the case of an early stage gambler - or an "insult" to a beautiful woman who is used to an entirely different response) then the AC fires and dopamine is released.

When we do NOT get something that we EXPECT to get...then the AC also fires. (Such as a 10/10 bird expecting to receive some form of adoration - and NOT getting it) However....and this is the key....when we receive the stimulus that we expect to get, the AC remains silent.

This research is well documented and the functioning of the AC is neither my concept nor my preserve of expertise. However, I would like to propose that this form of functioning - and whether it remains within the domain of the AC or in some other area of the brain remains to be seen - is precisely what is going on when we are attracted to someone.

Without going into too much boring detail....perhaps it is just possible that all forms of human attraction are governed by the same rules. We find women to be attractive, not only because of their physical beauty but also precisely because they always do what we do not expect them to do and likewise often do not do the things that we do expect. This has some primal locus in the survival mechanism.

Similarly, attractive (should I rather say beautiful) women come to expect certain reactions from men simply because that is what they have learned to expect. After a while, the AC learns to assimilate this as a given or expected response and thus no longer gives the female brain (bearing in mind that the same reaction occurs in men) the shot of dopamine it craves. It doesn't get its fix. So when someone comes along that either does something completely unexpected or alternatively does not do what is expected, then the AC fires and the brain receives its fix - for the time being until the unexpected becomes the expected. This would explain why people get bored with each other after a certain time, and it is interesting to note that research has shown that it takes about two to three years for a gambling (or any other form of addiction) to manifest as such. Odd that it also seems to take about the same length of time for humans to become bored with each other and seek out another mate - although societal conditioning seems to prohibit us from really making a break at this stage.

The trick as far as the maintenance of a long term relationship is concerned, perhaps, is to regularly change tactics.

To conclude, I propose that there may well be some considerable logic behind attraction between the sexes, and that this is based in the same mechanism that causes addiction in people. Attraction is merely another form of addiction.

Thank you, I really enjoyed your email.

In my 3 day intensive dating seminars I spend a lot of time teaching how and why ATTRACTION happens... including the evolutionary, emotional, psychological, and other "not very thought about" aspects that really need to be understood in order to become GREAT at attracting women.

There is a region of the brain that is closely related to the area that you've described called "Broca's Region". This area is linked to language and prediction. Broca's region is constantly predicting what's about to happen, and it's constantly watching out for the UNPREDICTABLE. If something unpredictable happens, it alerts the rest of the brain, and a person's attention is immediately focused on that thing. On the other hand, if what happens is predictable, then it is automatically discounted and kept out of awareness.

A problem that most guys have is that they do things that are very, very predictable, and therefore never even get the ATTENTION of the woman that they're interested in... never mind make progress, get a date, etc.

For instance, most guys will approach an attractive woman, act nervous and almost apologetic - and like they're seeking her approval - and then ask something stupid like "You probably have a boyfriend, huh?" or "Can I take you out sometime?"

Not only are these things predictable and boring, but they're also bad for many other reasons as well...

Attractive women get this kind of thing so much that they begin to actually DISCOUNT any man who even LOOKS like this might be what he's communicating.

And, as you've pointed out above, nothing "fires" in her mind.

The boring approach is discounted, and the man is mentally put into the "no" category before he even has a chance to have a meaningful conversation. After this labeling process, virtually nothing he can do can get him out of this category in the woman's mind, and the game is now over.

On the other hand, when a man approaches a woman and does all the RIGHT things in an interesting, unpredictable way, the woman's brain "fires", and she feels ATTRACTION. And then nothing that SHE does can change it. Her mind has put him into the "attractive" category, and her emotions take over.

The lesson here?

Don't be predictable. Be an interesting, unpredictable challenge to women.

As you probably know, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to meeting and attracting women. Once you learn how and WHY attraction works, you then have to learn the specifics of what to do in different situations to actually approach women, get their numbers/email, get dates, take things to a physical level, etc.

You must learn and use INTERESTING, UNPREDICTABLE techniques that GET A WOMAN'S ATTENTION AND KEEP IT. You must also learn how and why women feel ATTRACTION for some men... even when those men aren't tall, handsome, or rich.

What Women REALLY Mean...

How To Translate What Women Say That They Want In A Man... And How To Translate What They Say They Want From YOU

I hope you're sitting down... because what I'm about to share with you will change how you view women and dating. I'm about to take you "behind the scenes" in the female mind. I'm going to give you a perspective that most men never see or realize.

Unfortunately for most guys, not seeing things the way I'm about to share with you keeps them trapped in their own little world of failure. If you pay careful attention to the things I'm about to reveal to you, you'll definitely have more success with women.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WORDS AND THE REAL WORLD...

Have you ever heard a woman say something like:
"I want a guy who is sensitive."
"I want a guy who's in touch with his feelings."
"I want a guy who's a good communicator."
"I want a guy who is strong."
"I want a guy who is sexy."
...?

Of course you have. Women say this stuff all the time. One of my favorites is:

"I want a REAL MAN." I love that one.

In the past, when I'd hear women say "I want a REAL MAN" I had NO IDEA what the hell they were talking about. It almost didn't make sense. But keep in mind, even though these things don't always make sense to us guys, they make PERFECT sense to women. Here's the problem...

When a woman says one of these things, she actually MEANS something that is different from what a guy would mean if he said the same words.

Let me explain.

If a guy says "I'm going to stay home and relax today", he probably means that he's going to stay home, watch some sports, drink a beer, look at pictures of women on the internet, and order a pizza.

If a WOMAN says that she's going to stay home and relax, she's probably NOT going to watch some sports, drink a beer, look at pictures of women on the internet, and order a pizza.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are reading this right now and you are a woman who watches sports, drinks beer, looks at pictures of the women on the internet, and orders pizza to relax, then contact me immediately at the email address below. And send pictures. Back to what I was saying...

Women are DIFFERENT from men. And the words they use often don't mean what they SOUND like they mean. So the FIRST thing that you have to get through your head is that just because a woman SAYS something to you doesn't mean that it means that you THINK it means. Catch my meaning?

THE BIG SECRET SHE ISN'T TELLING YOU

There's a little secret that women never happen to mention when they're describing what they want in a man. Unfortunately for all of us good guys who are trying to be what women want... and hoping that if we try hard enough to please women that they'll like us... this little secret is causing us a LOT of trouble. The SECRET is that women ONLY want the things that they're asking for from a guy who already has about 100 other qualities that they never mention.

In other words, if a woman says "I want a man who is a good communicator", what she REALLY means is: "I want a guy who already has his life together, is interesting, unpredictable, dominant, funny, healthy, charismatic, confident, and loyal... who is ALSO a good communicator." The REALITY is that when a woman says one of these "I want a guy who" statements, she actually has an IDEAL guy in mind, who ALSO happens to be a good communicator.

She's NOT imagining Homer Simpson sitting on his couch reading a book on communication. The reality of this situation is that what women REALLY want is a man who makes them feel the emotional and physical response that I like to call ATTRACTION. They want a man who makes them FEEL IT. But most women either can't describe the things that actually make her feel ATTRACTION, or they don't WANT to have to describe them, because they want a man who already IS those things... without having to learn them.

Think about it.

If you were hiring a bodyguard, would you want one that said "Yea, I can be a bodyguard. Just give me some time to learn..." or would you want one that already KNEW how to kick ass anytime, anywhere without having to learn?

Duh.

Well same goes with women. They don't WANT a guy that they have to train. If you don't already have the UNIVERSAL FOUNDATION of what attracts women, then no amount of changing and improving things like your communication and sensitivity is going to help you.

WHAT IS A REAL MAN?

Lately I've been thinking a lot about the idea of a "Real Man". You hear both women and men using the term. But what does it actually MEAN? And is it important?

Well, after thinking about this particular topic for a long time, I've come to the conclusion that it is a VERY important topic. At this point, I believe that a REAL MAN is this "ideal" that women imagine when they're saying "I want a guy who is sensitive". They're thinking of the REAL MAN, and then they're imagining him ALSO being sensitive. There are a lot of aspects to this REAL MAN. Here are a few that are important:

-Status
-Lack of Insecurities
-Standards
-Experience
-Humor
-Unpredictability
-Leadership
-Challenge
...and the list goes on.

It's actually not easy to describe a REAL MAN in a few sentences... but I'll tell you what... a woman can recognize one INSTANTLY.

THE MISTAKE MEN MAKE

Now, a common mistake that men make is taking something that a woman SAYS that she wants, and doing it TOO MUCH, thinking that if "A little bit is good, then more must be better". For instance, a woman SAYS that she likes guys who are "thoughtful". So you go out and buy her a bunch of gifts, and give her cute cards every time you see her, and call her all the time to tell her that you miss her.

What happens? She leaves you for her jerk ex-boyfriend.

Huh?

This would be kind of like a woman saying "My favorite food is chocolate" and then you thinking it would be good to feed her chocolate for every meal just because it's her favorite... or adding chocolate to every single dish you make for her from now on... and forgetting that 97% of what she eats still needs to be OTHER FOODS.

Let me land the plane for you.

Women don't MEAN what you THINK they mean when they talk about what they want in a man. And if you take the things women say too literally, you're going to wind up shooting yourself in the foot.

WHAT WOMEN REALLY MEAN...

So let me "decode" what women "really" mean when they say common things. Consider this your own personal "female language translator". Refer to it often.

WHEN A WOMAN SAYS...
"I want a guy who is sensitive."

WHAT SHE REALLY MEANS IS...
"I want a guy who is busy doing his own thing in life, who has goals and objectives... who has passion for things. If we're out together, he always keeps me on my toes, and I'm always wondering what's going to happen next. He's challenging, interesting, and funny. I would really like it if he was also sensitive enough to know when I need a hug, or to be held, or when I want him to make love to me." Does this make sense?

Again, she's not imagining a picture of a boring, predictable, Wussy who is sharing his hurt feelings because he's so "sensitive". Big difference.

WHEN A WOMAN SAYS...
"I want a guy who is in touch with his feelings."

WHAT SHE REALLY MEANS IS...
"I want a guy who is strong-willed, and who doesn't get upset about petty things... a guy who can deal with the fact that I freak out emotionally sometimes... and who knows how to be cool when things are tough. But I also want him to be in touch with his feelings so that:

1) He doesn't repress his emotions and then eventually kill 10 people in his workplace, and
2) When he's intimate with me, and he feels a passionate rush... he'll grab me and make love to me like a beast!"

What she's NOT doing is making a picture of a meek, afraid guy who calls all the time to ask "Do you like me? Because I sure like you".

WHEN A WOMAN SAYS:
"I want a guy who's a good communicator."

WHAT SHE REALLY MEANS IS...
"I want a guy who doesn't talk all the time, because he knows how to let me know what's on his mind without using words. I want the kind of guy that can touch me in a certain way and I feel tingles all over my body. And I want the kind of guy that can say things in a way that I understand... not crudely and man-like."

WHAT ABOUT "SEXY"?

You'll often hear women saying that they what a "Sexy Man". Now, I USED to think that they meant that they wanted a PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE man when they said this. Sometimes this is exactly what they mean when they use the term "sexy". But I've found that, most of the time, women mean something TOTALLY different when they use the term "sexy".

You see, a woman generally bases more of her life around what she FEELS than a man does. And the concept of "sexy" is usually used to describe the way a man makes a woman FEEL than it is used to describe how HE LOOKS. Think about women's romance novels for a moment. Women's romance novels account for about a fifth of ALL BOOKS SOLD.

What do these books contain?

WORDS. Words that DESCRIBE things. Descriptions that make women FEEL things. My point: If you want to learn how to be a "sexy man", then the way you LOOK isn't the most IMPORTANT thing.

I'll tell you something, too. Learning the secrets of being a "sexy man" can be a very rewarding experience. A lot of guys out there, including me, know EXACTLY what it's like to be either on a date with, or in a relationship with a woman who has NO INTENTION of being with you "physically". In other words, she's just not feeling that powerful "sexual" ATTRACTION for you. And you don't know how to MAKE her feel it. Well, let me tell you...

Just like all the other things that a woman "says" that she wants in a man... that most men don't ever "get", being SEXY is one of the BIG ONES. If you understand the secrets of being SEXY, you will notice that women start to behave VERY differently around you.

Best Conversation Topics For Dates

There are really two very different (and important) aspects to the "conversations with women" topic:

1. The HOW
2. The WHAT

THE HOW

Most guys want to know "what to talk about" with women.

It only makes sense that you should talk about things that women are interested in... right?

Well... partially.

It is actually FAR MORE IMPORTANT to talk about whatever topic you're talking about in the RIGHT WAY.

In other words, if you don't understand HOW to carry on a conversation that creates ATTRACTION, then it really won't matter WHAT you talk about... because the woman you're talking to won't FEEL anything towards you.

The HOW of conversation includes (but is not limited to):

-Your body language
-Eye contact
-The Cocky & Funny style of communicating
-Flirting
-Sending mixed messages
-Directing the conversation
-Dealing with common questions and topics

...and many other things.

My point is that if you're running into a lot of "uncomfortable silences", nervousness, and other usual challenges, then you probably need to get the HOW handled before the WHAT.

THE WHAT

With that said, there are several topics that are GREAT to discuss with women.

But instead of just giving them to you, I want you to do yourself a favor and THINK for a minute.

What topics do women PAY to hear about?

Hint: Cosmo magazine, romance novels, soap operas, nighttime dramas, the fashion channel... etc.

If you think about it, the answer to this question is rather obvious.

For whatever reason, WOMEN tend to LOVE:

-Drama
-Conflict
-Romance
-Famous people and their lives

So... it's really quite easy to enjoy a conversation with a woman about these topics.

Here are a few ideas:

1. Play amateur psychologist to the stars.

Talk about how someone famous is doing something really stupid, then psycho-analyze them.

For instance... right now, Michael Jackson is something like two hundred million dollars in debt. Even though he makes about twenty million dollars a year, he somehow manages to blow it all and then some. He has spent an unimaginable amount of time and money on plastic surgery and skin bleaching... and he reportedly just spent around seven hundred grand digitally darkening his skin tone in a recent video.

This situation is all kinds of BEGGING to be picked apart with a fine-toothed critical mind.

It's also PREGNANT with humor opportunities.

2. Find an interesting-looking group of people and guess what's going on.

Look around you, and find a couple sitting at a table that looks like they're on their first date.

Then start making fun of how the guy is acting, how he's dressed, his posture, or whatever. Talk about how the woman is thinking that he's a dork and how he's not getting any, no matter how many compliments he gives her.

Analyzing what's going on with a close group of others is big fun, and women love it.

3. Make fun of someone famous.

Talk about how a super model is too skinny, or how Ozzy has killed all his brain cells and what a shame it is that he's on TV broadcasting it to millions of viewers.

Make fun of Mariah Carey for gaining weight, being put in the loony bin, and putting out a sucky movie.

All you have to do is read a few gossip magazines to get all kinds of great stuff to make fun of.

It's fun, it's funny, and it's a great way to talk like you're all that.

4. Talk about other people's love lives.

Talk about the problems that others are going through when it comes to love and romance, then volunteer completely ridiculous theories about what's going on.

Mention a friend you had who broke up with his girlfriend because she gained weight, then after you've told the story, make up a random theory about how women who gain weight are actually lesbians.

But make sure it's funny, whatever you invent.

...I think you can "feel me".

The point here is that women are NATURALLY fascinated and drawn to certain topics... so USE THEM.

The REAL benefit of talking to women about topics that really interest them is that you can USE ALL THE OTHER IDEAS THAT YOU'RE LEARNING while you're talking!

You can AMPLIFY THE ATTRACTION as the conversation goes on... as long as you know what else to do as you talk.

Oh, by the way...

Topics to avoid: Rape, kidnapping, stalking, death, chess, computers, comic books, Star Wars, monster trucks, and NSYNC. NEVER talk about topics that might really freak a woman out, or topics that make you look like the biggest loser alive in the beginning. You'll create BAD VIBES that will make any attraction that you've created INSTANTLY disappear. Others to really avoid include talking negatively about yourself, talking about how desperate you are or how long it's been since you've been on a date, asking if she likes you or if you're her "type"... and any other WUSS-BAG topic that makes you look insecure and needy.

Remember, the key to success with women is creating a powerful emotional ATTRACTION between you and her.

If you don't know how to do this, then NOTHING you do is going to help you very much.

If you DO know how and why women feel ATTRACTION for men, then almost ANYTHING you do or talk about can amplify it.

Using Cocky & Funny With Women

QUESTION

I'll keep this short and sweet... (you probably get this all the time and are sick of hearing it although i did not yet read a response so i'll quit prematurely apologizing.) I'm like a 6-7 and want to date 8-9's. I'm slightly above average looking and want to date girls above my range. Is this possible? I can't settle for less so how can I pull this off with out getting rejected 9 out of 10 approaches??

MY COMMENTS:

This is a very interesting combination of questions...

First of all, what would be so bad about only having 1 out of 10 women who are "8-9" range go out with you?

Just think of it...

You could make 10 women feel good by approaching them and boosting their self esteem, and one of them would wind up going out with you.

You'd probably spend about 60 minutes of time, and about 147 calories of energy (try a Zone bar or something if you begin to feel tired).

Investment: One hour plus 147 calories

Return: A date with an unusually attractive woman.

I'd play that game with you all day long.

I think you see where I'm going with this.

The problem most guys have is that they imagine the 9 times that they don't wind up with a date as being "cold, hard, shut down" style rejections.

And unless you have no class or tact at all, this just isn't going to happen.

At the Double Your Dating LIVE! seminar, my friend Orion shared his perspective when it comes to meeting women. (I've personally seen this guy get 25 women's phone numbers in three days... with my own two eyes)

His objective is "to make women smile". He likes to see if he can make a woman smile when he starts talking to her. Then, if she's the kind of woman that he'd like to date, he gets her information.

Think of it! He wants to find out if SHE'S THE KIND OF WOMAN HE LIKES by seeing if he can make her smile before he decides if she's the kind of woman he'd like to date.

Interesting new way of looking at things.

To answer your first question, OF COURSE YOU CAN DATE WOMEN THAT ARE MORE PHYSICALLY ATTRACTIVE THAN YOU!

Look around... you'll see all kinds of stunning women with average guys. It's actually the rule, rather than the exception.

And try making women smile when you meet them... and find out if they're beautiful on the INSIDE as well as the outside before you choose to see them again.

WOW! yeah, that's the best word i can describe your techniques with. I've been in situations where i can't help but smile, or even burst out laughing when i see the magic work... keeping a straight face can be hard just because i never thought it would work so well. anyway, to the point: I've been using the 'cocky/funny/ you can't get what you want' on this girl. well it was working well, but one instance she was discouraged, and i wasn't sure what to do. i felt bad, like i broke her or something... i was hoping you could help me with a line that would give her, or any other girl alike, a good feeling after they turn around and feel bad. i wanted to make sure and not turn into 'PUSSYMAN' to make her feel better. rather, something to encourage her to pursue me, and give her the 'it'll be worth your while impression.' Your advice seems to have covered everything but this, or i just missed something. help make it clear. I appreciate the time you put into saving our lives. I think i was on the verge of wasting a lifetime before i was introduced to your work.

MY COMMENTS:

One of the things you need to watch for when you're learning to be cocky+funny is GOING TOO FAR.

I've seen guys get a little too cocky, while forgetting that FUNNY is a key component of the formula... and then winding up turning a woman off.

I've done it myself a few times...

Just remember, if you wind up coming across as arrogant and hurting a woman's feelings, you need to change the frame of what's going on.

Try saying:

"Lighten up... what, you don't have a sense of humor?"

This tells the woman you're talking to that it was a joke without you turning into a wussy in her eyes.

Then add more humor.

Women are very adaptable, and if you take things too far, just remember to diffuse the situation quickly and learn from it. Once she sees that you were just busting on her, she'll most likely bounce right back.

Unfortunately, too many guys will turn into insta-wuss and start apologizing. Don't do that!

PROBLEM: I eventually found out she was married, and like you say, there's too many women out there to ruin relationships. The point is THAT A MARRIED WOMEN WANTED TO RISK HER MARRIAGE TO BE WITH SOMEONE WHO SHE FOUND ATTRACTIVE!!!!!!!!! My question is this. We sometimes found that our jokes didn't always catch. For example, my cousin walked into Ravegirl and accused the waitress of stealing. LOL. She didn't quite take the joke, and she got all pissy (Don't worry he didn't apologize). How do you hint that what your saying is supposed to be a joke? Should you smile (I know you say to avoid this)? Also, what books other than Comedy Writing Secrets do you recommend? Also, we're both attractive (I'm getting a 9 at HotorNot.com), thus we have to work on the FUNNY part of C&F because chics assume the cocky part.

You have some great points here... and I think that you're going to find your balance very soon.

A quick distinction that I'll point out to you:

When you're first meeting a woman, I think it's better to just get the email/number and leave.

Then, when you email, talk on the phone, and meet up later start being more cocky and funny...

This will probably help you out A LOT.

As for married women... I don't recommend going there.

A final note: If you're a pretty good looking guy, you might turn down the cocky, and turn up the funny.

Women perceive good-looking guys who act cocky as MAJOR PLAYERS, and too much cocky too soon can backfire on you. Learn the art of the "sly smile"... squint a bit and smile just barely. This says "I just teased you but you didn't get it..." It's great.

However there is one question that pervades, will this work on different culture? I am arabic, and must wonder if this will work with Indians, Pakistini's, Arabs, and other different cultures? Just curious if you already knew, otherwise, you'll probably hear from me on my success stories.

If you're overly attentive, etc. early on with a woman she'll see you as needy, which isn't attractive.

It's OK to be a little bit sweet, sure.

For instance, let's say you've been seeing her for a few weeks. Get her a flower, and tell her you were thinking of her.

What not to do: Buy her a dozen roses and bring them with you to the first meeting.

Hey dave here's a little ego boost for you. Been playing around here on the net for some time with little success. Bought your book. Read it and tried to apply it.

This is the scoop. two weeks before I purchased your book I answered an ad to a 8 1/2 to a 9 3/4 and received of course no reply. I used your tip "what playing hard to get already? Nice. Write me." and she replied. Know two days later she pulls her ad. I figure she hooked up with some one so I move on right.

Guess what a month latter her ad pops up. I figure what the heck and I writer a letter. This time instead of being chatty I loaded up the plan and headed for Tokyo.

This is a close copy of the letter I wrote:

"Back again?

Sorry to see you got dumped. I think you should rewrite your ad and remove your picture. In your ad you wrote Its getting hard trying to find some one it makes you sound kind of needy. Are you a needy kind of girl? If you are I needy some one to fold my laundry. That should give you a sense of purpose.

If you would like a picture of me send me your email, but you have to promise not to drool all over your self and the key board."

I thought I was being kind of harsh, but I got a good laugh out of it. Surprise she wrote back today and said she liked my style. I hadn't heard from her in a week and wrote her off and boom there was her real name and email address. Got to hand it to you dave this stuff works.

My question is what have you heard about patterning? I've read a little on it... and wonder have you tried any of this stuff? Does it really work? Also do you use the three second rule?...

Tried the email technique with a stunning Latina beauty at Kinko's. Spotted her as she worked, she was dressed to impress. Timed my work to finish when she did. Saw her in line, ready to pay. Scooped up my stuff and got in line behind her. Asked if her if all was going okay, chatted about what she did, it turned out to be related to what I do. She had been in the field about a year. Then she moved to the register. Then when a second register opened up - I brushed past her without a backward glance. Wondered how to tease etc. Saw a line piling up behind her - she was trying to pay with a $100 bill. So of course I teased her about holding up the line... and showing off... she apologized, that her boss had given her the large bill to pay with. Anyway I went back to my business, winding it up just in time to see her headed out the door. She was already halfway into the street when I called out, stopped her, made quick conversation. Asked her if she had e-mail. She said no. I said "do you have electricity?" (Stole your line verbatim - I HAVE NO SHAME, DAVID, when it comes to stunning Latinas! Besides it was good fun!!) She said yes, clearly on the defensive. I asked her if they'd given her a business card yet. She said no, I looked condescending, and pulled out a pen and paper. I asked for the phone number, and promised I'd only call her EIGHT TIMES A DAY!! (Yes, yes, no shame whatsoever!) She hesitated as she was about to write down the number - asked if this was about business - (perhaps she was considering which number to give)- I said NO - because I do not need professional networking, I'm interested in WOMEN. But then I remembered to keep it fun, and said with a grin, "or maybe it is business, who knows, we'll see." Keep her guessing and all that. Anyway, I GOT THE NUMBER!! I'll keep you posted. Anyway, it was TEXTBOOK!! And it was easily under three minutes. It was under one, I suspect.

One small point: I wonder if women dress to impress each other, sure, but more generally as an expression of power or strength. This chick had her colors flying, but seemed shy and controllable. I wonder if the power of your approach is that it bypasses their defenses (their looks) by ignoring them - or not getting gah-gah over their looks anyway - not getting impaled on the defensive breastworks so to speak - and instead, attacks with our own strength. Very interesting stuff. I must confess I am concerned about how to maintain this kind of posture if we go out. I usually do well on first dates, but would like to try some of your stuff; also I am thinking I could keep relationships less deep, more fun, and generally lighter with your approach.

PS Any tips on how to get her to go out? I met her yesterday (Thursday. I left a message today (Friday) late in the day - it was a cellphone number - told her I was the guy who had met her while she was holding up the line at Kinko's, and told her I was "a few calls behind." Left my name, but not my number. Told her I'd call again when I got a chance. Casual tone and all. Next move? Yeah I know, get more emails and phone numbers, and call my other girlfriends. I will confirm your advise to be correct and global. I live in Las Vegas and most of the girls here are materialistic, superficial, "just plain bitches" or bi - that's not so bad sometimes! ;) Unfortunately, this is "typically American." I have much fun with them, but I am ultimately disappointed with any American but the "girl next door" type. I thought it was me for a while, but I now know I have a problem. You see, this is both my bane and my success: I have spoiled myself rotten with foreign women to the point that American women really only appeal to me for sex. I travel to other countries, regularly, just to look for hot, intelligent, "not American" women. I have been successful with women all over the world without speaking any spoken language but English. Yes, most intelligent foreign women speak English, but I communicate well without knowing their language because of the same principles you teach.

To be successful with women, it is important to understand that PLAYFUL TEASING, EYE CONTACT and CONFIDENCE are much more ATTRACTIVE than anything you can repeat, do or own.

Additionally, the QUALITY of a woman who knows and responds to "cocky and funny" is significantly higher than the girls who are impressed by lines, looks or money. It is INSTINCTIVE for any good woman to look for these characteristics in a man. Anyone can get better at anything with study and practice. Keep up the good work!

After some small talk she asked me what I did for a living, I said, "That's kind of personal, what if you're a stalker?" then when she asked again with puppy dog eyes, I said, "I'm an ass model, what do you THINK?" I slapped mine then slapped HERS.

We chatted about a woman I met last week who had an $80 dildo (showing her that I'm comfortable with sexuality), I finished my beer and said, "I'm going to the Pontiac Bar, (pause, pause), you can come if you want." (Taking her from first meeting though a date sequence while leading the way...)

How To Evict Your Inner Wussy

HOW TO EVICT THE INNER WUSSY...

....OR...

....HOW TO STOP DOING THE WRONG THINGS, AND START DOING THE RIGHT THINGS TO ATTRACT MORE WOMEN AND KEEP THEM ATTRACTED!

I was talking to a good friend a few nights ago, and he told me an interesting story.

He was walking home recently, when he walked by a couple who were obviously in an emotional discussion.

As it turned out, the woman was breaking up with the man, and he was trying to understand why.

The interchange went something like this:

Her: "I'm not ATTRACTED to you anymore... I just don't FEEL IT."

Him: "But I would do ANYTHING to make this work... I'll do anything you want... just tell me what to do."

Her: "That's the problem. You just don't get it."

....and that was all he heard.

Have you ever been there?

Have you ever had a girlfriend break up with you, or just drift away, and the more you tried to hold on, the further she ran from you? And the more you tried to be a "good guy" and please her, the more distant she became?

Well, me too. I've been there MORE than once in my life.

And it ALWAYS SUCKED.

The worst part about it was NEVER UNDERSTANDING WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON!

I can remember being that guy I just told you the story about... and asking "Why? Why are you confused? What do I have to do to make this work?"

I was willing to change, act different, or whatever.

Little did I know at the time, but it was this EXACT attitude that led to all the problems in the first place.

If you've read my newsletters for awhile now, you probably know that women don't feel the emotion called ATTRACTION for guys who act weak, needy, insecure and "WUSS-LIKE".

But unless you know this to begin with, then it's ALL TOO EASY to become a "nice", overly-accommodating, uninteresting, predictable, boring guy... and even though it seems logical that a woman should love to be treated like a queen at all times, you've probably found out, just like I have, that this combination usually leads to a woman either 1) Leaving you... or 2) Becoming increasingly controlling, domineering, and neurotic.

So what's up with that? Why does this happen? And more importantly, what can we do to avoid getting into this horrible position of losing a woman's attention because we're trying to be nice to her?

Here's my take, after studying this stuff for about five years now...

1. ATTRACTION ISN'T A CHOICE.

In other words, we humans don't CHOOSE who we feel attracted to... and, JUST AS IMPORTANT, who we DON'T feel attracted to.

ATTRACTION happens for reasons all its own, and these reasons have evolved inside of us over the last several million years.

While culture, peer pressure, and trends can shape our natural drives slightly, the FUNDAMENTALS NEVER CHANGE.

2. MEN ARE ATTRACTED MORE TO LOOKS, WOMEN ARE ATTRACTED MORE TO PERSONALITY AND CHARACTER.

Most men can't believe it, but to a woman your looks just aren't that important.

Sure, if you don't take care of yourself, don't bathe, and let two of your front teeth rot out you might scare away the ladies.

But for the most part, women will look past just about ANY physical issue if she feels that all-important emotion called ATTRACTION.

And ATTRACTION is created by your PERSONALITY.

For women, ATTRACTION is triggered by male qualities like: Dominance, Humor, Unpredictability, Adventure, Strength, Sexual Awareness, Indifference, Etc.

3. WOMEN AREN'T ATTRACTED TO WUSSIES.

'Nuff said.

4. WOMEN TEST MEN BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO.

When a woman begins to feel a romantic connection with you, she faces an interesting problem...

How can she tell for sure if you're character and personality are the way you're expressing them?

As we all know, men and women BOTH show off and exaggerate their "good sides" while downplaying and hiding their negative traits at first. This is why men suck in their guts, brag, and show off... and why women wear makeup, do their hair, and shop all day for their clothes.

If you were a woman, and you needed to figure out if a man was showing you his "true self", how would you do it?

What if you had to know FOR SURE?

The only way is to TEST on an ongoing basis, and to keep escalating the tests to be sure.

Put all this together (with a bunch of other factors that I don't have time to talk about) and you get an interesting problem that women face...

A woman responds to a man that stirs her emotions, and causes her to want him so badly that she'll put aside all logic and reason to be with him.

But what if the man is just pretending? What if he only SEEMS to be this confident, funny, manly-man on the outside, but he's actually a push-over WUSS-BAG that is insecure and makes up for it by acting like a tough guy?

Or worse yet, what if he's a WUSS all the time, and she just happened to settle for him because he was available and persistent... and she didn't have anything better going on at the time... but now she has other options?

Well, these are the kinds of situations, that when played out, lead to the story that I started with... a man begging a woman to stay... pleading with her to explain what he has to do to keep her.

Of course, this is all WUSSY behavior, and it only serves to put the final nail in the coffin, convincing the object of your desire that you are ABSOLUTELY, beyond the shadow of any doubt, a Wuss.

So what's the answer?

The answer is to NEVER BE THOUGHT OF AS A WUSSY AGAIN!

If you want to make your dating life a whole lot better and easier, then stop and think about your behavior... and resolve right now to stop acting like a WUSS for the rest of your life.

Being "nice" and "accommodating" and "understanding" is great for friendships and social relationships, but it's HORRIBLE for ATTRACTION.

An interesting, attractive woman doesn't want a guy that she can push around. She doesn't want a guy who does what she wants him to do. She doesn't want a little boy that she can train and raise.

An interesting, attractive woman wants a MAN.

This doesn't make LOGICAL sense, I know. But it's the truth. These submissive qualities will only work in attracting a woman IF SHE LIKES DRESSING UP IN LEATHER AND WHIPPING HER MAN... AND CHARGING $400.00 AN HOUR!

And my guess is that this isn't the kind of woman that you're looking for.

QUESTION

Greetings,

I'm considering investing in your program, but I have a question for you before I do. Essentially, I'm no longer looking to hook up with women left and right. In fact, I think I've met "the one," but I'm having trouble making her realize this. I've been pursuing her for about five months (during part of which time she was away at school, but we kept in regular contact, at first through e-mail and, later, over the phone), and I get the sense that she's very guarded about relationships. She's *very* goal oriented (which is one of the many things I love about her, BTW), and therefore very busy, and - I suspect - she's been burned in he past, relationship wise. At any rate, on a couple of occasions, it felt to me as if things were moving forward, and then she backpedaled; perhaps she "got spooked," and took a big step back to protect herself. Most recently, we were out for the first time since she finished school, and - insofar as I was able to determine, I was getting the green light all night: at a movie, I slipped my arm around her and she leaned in, resting her head on my shoulder; later, we were at a club for a band, and when we were ready to leave, she reached across the table and held my hand for a while; on the way back to the car, it was pretty chilly, and when she complained about the chill, I stepped over and hugged her. She responded by stepping into it: she pressed her face hard into my shoulder, and stepped into full body to body contact - hip to hip, shoulder to shoulder and everything in between. When we got back to to her place, I moved to kiss her and she shied away such that it would have been *extremely* awkward for me to actually do so.

At any rate, we've gotten together since (in fact, I offered to cook dinner for her, and she somehow maneuvered it around such that I was *her* guest, and she cooked for me) and we talked a while. As I said above, I think she got a little spooked. She specifically said that she thought the relationship could've evolved into something romantic, but that it hasn't, and she wasn't sure why. At this moment, she says she doesn't believe it will. We remain *very* close friends, but I still believe she's the one, and I've told her that I'm still going to pursue this, and she's keen on still spending time together (for her, for now, as close friends).

My question is this: do you believe your program can aid me in turning her around on this? If so, why?

THIS WOMAN ACTUALLY LIKES YOU, AND YOU'RE SCREWING IT ALL UP BY ACTING LIKE A NEEDY WUSS BAG!

Whew. Let me calm myself. As you know, I don't usually get so worked up. That makes three exclamation marks in one email, and I haven't even stared lambasting you proper yet. (What is lambasting, anyway? And is that how you spell it? It's such a great word. I really should look and find out.)

OK, I'm calm.

NOW, let's you and I have a little talk here.

The reason why this kind of situation bothers me is at least twofold:

1) Because I've been in it myself about a bazillion and a half times, and it sucks to be screwing something
up and not even realize that you're doing it.

2) I can tell from your email that you actually like this girl A LOT, and that she's probably a fantastic woman... and I hate to see you working so hard against yourself... and screwing this up when it's right there in front of you for the taking.

Before I tell you all the reasons why you most DEFINITELY should invest in my Advanced Dating Techniques program, let me give you a few pointers that might help you STOP screwing this up in the meantime.

OK, back to the basics.

Let's take this from the top...

At the very beginning of your email, you said something that basically telegraphed EXACTLY what was going on here...

You said "...I think I've met "the one," but I'm having trouble making her realize this. I've been pursuing her for about five months..."

You're having trouble making her REALIZE this?

You've been PURSUING her?

Do you assume that at some point within the NEXT five months that she's going to wake up one day and feel a powerful ATTRACTION for you because you like to chase her around and tell her how you feel about her?

Normally I'd make fun of you here, and tell you that you don't get it... blah blah blah.

But for some reason I feel like I just have to lay things out for you directly.

Look, man... the reason why she's telling you that she "doesn't know why it hasn't evolved into something romantic" is that she doesn't FEEL IT.

She doesn't FEEL IT.

Get it?

SHE DOESN'T FEEL IT!

She doesn't feel ATTRACTION for you.

And you can't CONVINCE her to feel it by chasing her around and telling her how you "feel" about her.

Attraction, as I always say, ISN'T A CHOICE.

You're acting like most guys who think things like: "If she only knew how I felt about her, she'd feel the same way" and "If I keep pursuing her, she'll eventually see how much I love her" etc.

Well guess what?

AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN, HOMEY.

Right now you are playing what is referred to as a "losing game".

Think of it this way. If you stop on the way home from work every day and buy a lottery ticket, you'll win once in awhile. Hell, you might even be lucky one day and win big.

But your chances SUCK.

You're probably going to lose a LOT more than you win over time.

Like I said, you COULD win big. There is a chance. But you probably won't. And I mean probably with a BIG P.

I refer to the way that you're acting as "Being a Wussy" (that's the technical term... made it up myself).

When you act like a Wussy, you do things like:

-Pursue
-Cling
-Share "feelings"
-Act submissive
-Seek approval
-Pine away

This is WUSSY behavior.

It's distinctly FEMININE in nature.

When guys act like this, they're getting in touch with their inner little girl (and she needs a spanking in the worst way).

And are you ready for the WORST WORST part?

When you act like this around a woman (and ESPECIALLY a "goal oriented" woman who's probably smart and powerful like yours) they CANNOT feel the emotion of ATTRACTION towards you.

Women aren't attracted to Wussies.

This is a UNIVERSAL truth.

And by the way that you describe your relationship with this woman, SHE REALLY WANTS TO BE ATTRACTED TO YOU!

She's trying, man.

And she probably KNOWS that you'd be a great guy to be in a relationship with... but she just doesn't FEEL IT... so she holds back. I'm sure she WISHES that she could be attracted to you. I'll bet you money.

Look, you need to STOP acting like a nice friend guy Wuss IMMEDIATELY if you want this to turn into something.

You're probably beyond help with this particular woman, but I'm going to give you a few ideas JUST IN CASE...

1) Stop calling her all the time (if you do), and stop spending so much time with her.

2) Start dating other women IMMEDIATELY, and make sure she knows about it.

3) Stop being all lovey with her, and don't tell her how you "feel about her" anymore. Stop it.

4) Accept that you will probably be friends with her forever, and start acting that way.
